The following announcement has appeared on the web login pages on both TLR & TLF

This game is going down soon!

(The entire server is going offline shortly)

  1. Guess it’s time to move on. Hopefully drag won’t shut down the SST game he’s running. At least those who wish to play the older version can still play.

  3. Unless Ray didn’t see the messages I posted on the radio at the space tyrant game on his home server, we’re out of luck. He didn’t respond to my question. I’ll keep checking, but if he did see my question, I don’t think we’ll be getting an answer 🙁

  4. I left a msg to management and posted asking if it’s possible to get a copy of the game to run on another server. I’d be willing to host the game, as I’m sure others would step up too.

  5. Getting a copy of the binary to run a new game isn’t a problem. The game binary is available for download at this site. However, getting the backup of the current game data might not be possible. Leaving a message to management won’t do any good if Ray doesn’t log into the game 🙁

  6. Still no news from Ray. I would like to point out that I find it odd that the message about the game going down is only addressed to those playing the game via a browser. Given the time since the message was first seen by those using a browser, it kind of supports my theory that someone may have hacked into the web pages for the game. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see. 😛
